Part V
Legislation

The central focus of the California Senior Legislature is the creation of proposals for legislation, and lobbying the Legislature to create laws from these proposals.  This Part of the Manual explains the process and provides the tools for this activity, including the forms required by California Senior Senators and California Senior Assemblymembers for creating such proposals.  The past accomplishments of the CSL are also listed.

Part VI
Public Relations

The CSL can only be effective if it is known to the agencies of concern to it as well as the general public.  Here's an explanation of the areas of concern and how to reach them.

Part VII
Annual Session

The primary work of the CSL is carried out in its Annual Session held for several days in Sacramento.  Part VI has the general session schedule as well as forms for use by Senior Senators and Senior Assemblymembers who wish to apply for leadership positions.

Part VIII
CSL Elections

The selection of California Senior Senators and California Senior Assemblymembers is carried out across the State in the local Planning and Service Areas (PSAs).  Here are the rules for those elections as well as the forms needed by candidates for election.  The travel expense form and Hotel Tax Waiver form are in this section as well.  Note, however, that all of the forms are available on this website individually!
